If you want to see beauty in the desert then take a look at Bikaner. Located in the northwestern region of Rajasthan this place was founded in 1488 AD by Rao Bika ji. There are a few tourist attractions here which you should take a look at as they are finely designed and made. The first attraction here is the Junagarh Fort. Seen from a very long distance this fort is the one which remarks its presence in Bikaner. It was raised by Rai Singh from 1588 to 1593. This fort has two entrances and an almost 986m long wall along with 37 bastions and also a moat. The other major attractions here are the Phool Mahal, Anup Mahal, Dungar Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas, Hawa Mahal, and Ganga Mahal.Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Rang Mahal.

An architectural masterpiece in red stone was raised by Maharaja Ganga Sing in the loving memory of his father Maharaja Lall Singh. It was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob, and it also has beautiful latticework and filigree work. The palace has overhanging balconies too. Here you will also find gardens with wandering peacocks and blooming bougainvillea which will welcome you as a visitor to the palace.

The next on the list is the havelies present here in Bikaner. There are many groups of people who have their own havelies but then the most well-known cluster is the Rampuria group of hevelies. The exquisite and commendable carvings in red stone and other parts of the haveli are mesmerizing. Taking a look at them will help you understand the culture the cuisine and also the lifestyle of people there. The camel breeding farms present here are also worth taking a look at.

Apart from a few of these tourist attractions, many others that you just cannot miss are the Gajner Palace, Prachina Museum, Devi Kund Sagar, Shri Laxminath Temple, Bhandeshwar Jain Temple, and the Shiv Bari Mandir. You can also get a glimpse of various festivals like the camel festival, Karni Mata Fair, Kapil Muni Fair, Ganguar Fair,
and the Akha Teej also known as the kite festival.
